Our Difference
We are not a call center that farms the job out to whoever answers. Technicians are background-checked, uniformed, trained on fabric codes before they touch a cushion, and they show up at the hour you booked — including the hours nobody else works.
How It Works
Any hour — tell us the pieces or rooms.
At the hour booked, in uniform, van stocked.
Tags read, colorfast tested, method matched.
Fans set on damp cushions and traffic lanes.
You sign off on every piece before the van leaves.
Furniture and carpet ready the same day.
Real Jobs, Real Results
Fabric Types
Sectionals, sleeper sofas, dining chairs, ottomans, headboards and cushions — cleaned in place, with the manufacturer cleaning code checked first (W, S, WS or X).
Wall-to-wall carpet, runners, landings and traffic lanes. Truck-mounted hot water extraction, edges done by hand rather than skipped.
Wool and oriental rugs colorfast-tested before any solution touches them. Leather cleaned and conditioned. Mattresses treated top and sides.
The pieces most carpet cleaners refuse to touch — because the wrong method ruins them.
Spills, guests, move-outs and pet accidents do not wait for Monday. Neither does this line.
Local Know-How
Huntington housing stock runs from 1950s capes off New York Avenue to older colonials near the harbor and newer construction out toward Melville and Dix Hills. Different eras, different flooring, different problems — but the same three things wear fabric out here: sand tracked in from Crab Meadow and Centerport, humidity coming off the harbor, and radiator or forced-air heat that dries out fibers all winter. Here is what that means for your furniture and carpet, and what actually happens when you book us.
Every piece of manufactured upholstery carries a cleaning code on a hidden tag: W means water-based solutions are safe, S means solvent only, WS means either, and X means vacuum only. Using water on an S-code fabric is how you get permanent rings, shrinkage and a sofa that looks worse than before someone cleaned it. We find and read that tag on every piece before anything is sprayed. If the tag is missing, we test an unseen panel first.
Homes closer to Huntington Harbor, Halesite and Centerport sit in higher ambient humidity than homes inland toward Commack. Fabric holds that moisture, and any cleaning solution left behind in a cushion stays damp far longer than it would in a drier house. That is where the musty smell after a cleaning comes from — not the dirt, the water nobody extracted. Truck-mounted vacuum recovery is the difference between a cushion dry in a few hours and one sour by the weekend.
Beach sand from Crab Meadow, Asharoken and the town beaches works down to the base of carpet pile and the crease of a cushion, then grinds against the fiber every time someone sits or walks. That is why traffic lanes go dull before they go visibly dirty. Vacuuming lifts the top layer; extraction is what pulls the embedded grit out. If your carpet looks flat rather than stained, abrasion is usually the reason.
A daily-use sofa in a household with kids or pets is generally cleaned every 12 to 18 months. Guest-room and formal-living furniture stretches to every two or three years. Mattresses benefit from a cleaning about every 18 months, sooner for allergy sufferers. Carpet in a full household runs on a 12-month cycle, or 6 months where pets sleep on it.
Urine passes through carpet into the backing and pad, and through a cushion cover into the foam. Cleaning the surface removes the stain and leaves the smell, which is why it comes back on the first humid day. Effective treatment means saturating to the depth the accident reached and breaking down the bacteria producing the odor, then extracting it. On furniture that sometimes means treating the foam insert itself, not just the cover.
The technician walks the job with you, flags problem areas and reads fabric tags, pre-treats stains and lets them dwell, then runs hot water extraction or dry solvent depending on what the tag allows. Furniture legs get protected on carpet work, edges are done by hand, and you do a walkthrough before anyone packs up. A typical two-piece sofa set takes about an hour; whole-house carpet runs one to three hours.
For upholstery it is the number of pieces and cushions, the fabric type, and whether pet or body-oil treatment is needed. For carpet it is square footage and how the layout breaks up — the same footage split into small rooms costs more than one open floor, because edge work is slow. You get a number before work starts. No invoice surprises, and $20 off the first service.
Most of the calls that come in overnight are not emergencies in the flood sense — they are a red wine spill at 11pm, a closing walkthrough at 7am, a rental turnover between tenants, or a family arriving tomorrow. The line is answered at those hours because that is when the problem happens, and because a fresh spill treated the same night comes out far more reliably than one that has had a week to oxidize.
Questions?
Sofas, sectionals, chairs and mattresses are cleaned in your home with truck-mounted equipment. Only wool and oriental area rugs that need full immersion are picked up.
Most fabric furniture is dry to the touch in 2 to 4 hours, and fully dry in 6 to 8 hours with a window cracked or a fan running.
Yes. We use non-toxic, pH-balanced solutions and extract them back out, so nothing is left in the fabric for children or pets to sit on.
Yes. S-code fabrics are solvent-clean only, so we switch to a dry solvent method instead of water extraction. We check the tag on every piece before starting.
